J1588 Morenci Turquoise Cuff

Sterling silver cuff with three turquoise stones, the large one measuring 3/4” x 1 1/2”. The center stone is Morenci turquoise. Guy Haskie is the Navajo silversmith, who is known for his exquisite stones and beautiful stampwork. The cuff is 5 1/4” with a 1” gap. 

Morenci Turquoise is mined in Southeastern Arizona.  The turquoise has a unique matrix of irregular black pyrite.  When polished, the matrix appears to be silver. It was one of the first turquoise to appear on the American market. The mine is depleted, making Morenci one of the more rare turquoise.
