JSW1034 Thunderbird Cuff

Leather cuff with a 2” x 2 1/2” sterling silver Thunderbird. A 3/8” turquoise is in the center of the Thunderbird. The leather cuff is 3” wide, tapering to a 1 1/2”. Adjustable: 6 1/8” to 7 1/2”.

To the Navajo, Thunderbird is a sacred symbol with many meanings. They believe Thunderbird protects them, warns them of approaching danger and provide rain to nourish their crops. Like all birds, the Navajo Thunderbird is also a spirit guide. Many Navajo believe the Thunderbird guides the souls of the dead through the underworld.
