JSW521 Inlay Cuff

Sterling silver cuff with jasper, tiger’s eye and onyx channel inlay by SilverSmiths, a group of Navajo silversmiths from Gallup, New Mexico. The 1/2” bracelet is 6” inside with a 1 1/4” gap.

Channel inlay is one of the most intricate techniques of jewelry making.  An inlay base design is made and a rim of silver is soldered around the edges.  Silver partitions are put in to form “boxes” for the cut stones to fit into. 

From Gallup, NM, the SuperSmiths collection blends contemporary designs with traditional craftsmanship. Comprised of over 30 Native American silversmiths and crafts people from the Navajo tribe in northwest New Mexico, this group of talented artists has been working together since 1997.
