JSW671 Fred Harvey Style Cuff

Fred Harvey style bracelet with an applique dragonfly by Navajo silversmith Lorenzo Juan. The 3/8” bracelet with stamping has a 1/4” x 3/8” turquoise stone. The inside is 5 1/4” with a 1 1/4” gap.

Lorenzo Juan was born on October 6, 1954. He currently lives in Church Rock, New Mexico and works out of Gallup, New Mexico. He is a Navajo silversmith, who loves what he does. He has been silversmithing for 50 years since 1969. 

Fred Harvey was an entrepreneur who had restaurants, hotels, and gift shops alongside the railroads and Route 66 in the early 1900’s. He designed jewelry specifically for the tourist trade and hired Navajo and Pueblo silversmiths to make his designs. That style of jewelry is often replicated today.
