JSW720 Morenci Turquoise Cuff

Sterling silver hand stamped cuff.  The 1 1/2” split band has a stamped panel inspired by a Navajo weaving. A 3/8” x 1/2” Morenci cabochon is in the center of the 5/8” x 2 1/8” panel. The inside is 5 1/2” with a 1” gap. Hallmark: VH

Morenci Turquoise is mined in Southeastern Arizona.  The turquoise has a unique matrix of irregular black pyrite.  When polished, the matrix appears to be silver. It was one of the first turquoise to appear on the American market. The mine is depleted, making Morenci one of the more rare turquoise.
