JSW611 Pictorial Pendant

Sterling silver pictorial pendant by Navajo silversmith Philbert Begay. The 7/8” x 2” pendant has Monument Valley, a horse and two flowers in silver overlay. The flowers have an opal and an amethyst center. A 5/8” bale makes a total length of 2 3/4”.

Philbert Begay excels in intricate silver inlay, a technique his father (Richard Bega) was famous for. After growing up around the art of jewelry and learning many skills from his father, Philbert’s natural talent in jewelry-making has given him a name of his own. He is now an expert at overlay, applique, stamp work, cutting, polishing and inlaying stones.
