JSW996 Turquoise Pendant

Handmade sterling silver & turquoise pendant by Navajo silversmith Eddie Secatero. The 1/2” x 1” Royston turquoise cabochon is in a sterling silver setting. The 7/8” x 1 1/4” pendant has a silver bale for a total length of 1 3/4”.

Royston is known for its beautiful colors ranging from deep green to rich, light blues with a brown matrix. While Royston is considered an active mine; it is a very small operation. Royston is a district in Nevada consisting of three turquoise mines: Bunker Hill, Oscar Wehrend, and the main producer, high quality Royal Blue. The mine in Nevada is still producing high quality turquoise but in limited amounts.

Eddie Secetaro is a well-known Navajo Silversmith, born in Albuquerque and living in the Canoncito, New Mexico area. His parents Agnes & Eddie Secatero taught him to silversmith as a young teen, while he also attended To'hajiilee Community School. All the Secetaro family are remarkable Silversmiths having passed down their proud trade thru generations. Eddie is a full time silversmith.
