Sterling silver and turquoise by Navajo silversmiths Michael & Rosita Calladitto. The hand stamped, silver overlay ring has a 1/2” x 3/4” Campitos cabochon.

Michael & Rosita Calladitto are best known for traditional Navajo style jewelry using Sterling Silver & turquoise with deeply stamped designs. Using old parts from piston rods to valve stems from old cars, he carefully cuts designs into the steel using tiny files and other tools to produce his personal stamps.

 A lovely, hard stone with beautiful color, Campitos is a favorite for jewelry artisans. The mine as we know it today, has been producing since the 1980's. Campito in Spanish is a derivative of the word “campo”, meaning “field” or “countryside”.
