Sterling silver and White Buffalo turquoise ring by Navajo silversmith Elgin Tom. The hand stamped bezel with twisted wire encases a 1/2” x 3/4” White Buffalo turquoise cabochon.

Elgin Tom was born in Gallup, NM into a family of silversmiths. He learned the art of silverwork by helping his father and grandfather from an early age. Influenced by his grandfather, Elgin, like his grandfather, hand-makes his own unique intricate stamps to create his jewelry. Elgin, a father of four, is maintaining his family heritage of silversmithing by teaching his children.

Originating from the Dry Creek mine in Arizona and Nevada, the black and white stone, also known as White Buffalo turquoise, is unique, timeless and bold.
