GARCIA 1: The Garcia Pendleton’s, Collections 1 and 11, commemorate the trading days of Camillo Garcia (1918-1962) and his influence on Navajo rug weaving. Anselm Bischoff is the grandson of Camillo Garcia, and together with Pendleton Mills has issued these limited edition blankets in honor of Camillo Garcia.

The original trading post still exists at the mouth of Canyon de Chelly. Garcia’s Canyon de Chelly Trading Post was the home of the vegetal dye rugs. The Garcia Blanket 1 & 11 are in a limited edition of 1,000 and are available only through Shades of the West, Inc. Size: 64 x 80
